Just wanted to let you all know that I just received several Conti Events. If you are interested give me a call or email. I will be calling everyone too but I thought this would be a good way to get it started. I have one on Sept 13th which is a competition date that I would like to ask parents, siblings, aunts and uncles to do while the kids are at competition. If you are interested, just let me know.

We are asking that anyone who wants to donate something for the competitions to donate bottled water. We have two competitions. If you would like to donate these, just bring them in to the band room whenever you pick up your child after band practice. Thanks, Barbara Horton

The student parking lot was resurfaced, so we haved moved to a new marching field. We are very grateful to Ms. Coulter for getting that ball rolling and Mr. Rogers for his help. Mr. Roberts, the Principal at Riverview was extremely gracious to allow us to use that area. Thank you so much.

Because we have a limited amount of extra rooms and a ton of parents wanting to travel with us. Once we finalize how many rooms are needed for kids, we'll let parents know on a first come, first serve basis who needs to contact another hotel nearby. Thank you so much to the parents that helped during camp. There were moms and dads here every single day cooking, serving food, cleaning up, sewing uniforms, painting the field, etc, etc, etc. You all are awesome. This was the best year ever!! We are very blessed.

AUGUST 12 School Starts (no after school rehearsal) 14 after school rehearsal begins until 4:00. REHEARSAL WILL BE EVERY MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND THURSDAY UNTIL 4PM until further notice. SEPTEMBER 2 band composite pictures during school, 5 Game, 12 Game, 13 Competition at PRP in Louisville, 18 Homecoming Parade, 19 Homecoming Game, 26 Leave during school for Carter Cave State Park (overnight), 27 Russell HS Competition, OCTOBER 24 Game/Senior Night.

September will be the busy month with marching band. The favorite part of marching season for most of the kids is the overnight trip to Morehead. However, they will not host a competition this year. We will be going to Russell High School for our overnight trip, leaving during 4th block on Friday, September 26 and returning late Saturday night, September 27. Transportation and all food is included with the band fees. However, lodging is not included. The approximate cost is $25 per kid for the hotel. Please discuss this at home and let me know your thoughts soon so we can decide if this will, in fact, be an overnight trip. The other option is leaving BC at approximately 6am on the 27th.
